WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO:

  • Have a sense of ambition and the determination to succeed.
  • Be well rounded individuals with empathy, tolerance, and a positive attitude who have the courage to stand up for their beliefs.

SOCIAL AND MORAL

WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO:

  • Have a sense of self worth and belief in themselves as an individual, a part of the school and of the wider community. They should be aware of how they can be a good citizen by contributing in different ways to their society.
  • Go into the wider community with the ability to listen to others, to respect their views and to communicate their own ideas and values. They should understand the importance of compromise and tolerance.
  • Be encouraged to be compassionate and show good manners and to understand how their behaviour affects other.
  • Be educated to understand what morals are, to understand the difference between right and wrong and be confident in making informed choices and not be influenced by peer pressure.

EDUCATIONAL

WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO:

  • Have firm foundations in the basic skills of Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
  • Have an enquiring mind and a love of learning with high aspirations for life long learning.
  • To know how to apply learning in creative and imaginative ways in order to solve problems.
  • To develop a range of skills that foster independence.

CULTURAL AND AESTHETIC

WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO:

  • Understand, respect and experience different cultures and religions.
  • Have a cultural awareness and appreciation of arts and music.
  •  Be reflective, sensitive and able to appreciate the environment and show respect for the world around them.
  • Become creative and imaginative thinkers who are able to develop and care for the environment both locally and globally.
  • Be adaptive in order to cope with an ever changing world and the challenges of  the 21st century.
